Steve Pruitt
President / CEO

As the son of a headhunter, Steve understands the importance of relationship management to create opportunities for clients to continuously acquire great talent. This has become Steve’s strongest attribute. Since 2001, it’s been his passion to help banking and financial services professionals achieve the next steps in their exciting life journey.

Steve enjoys being the team’s Chief Factotum Officer (jack-of-all-trades) and spends his hours outside the office helping those he loves with multiple projects. Prior to his career as a recruiter, Steve worked as a commercial pilot. Aviation remains a strong part of his life in the form of airshows and museum visits throughout the country. He also loves spending time with his wife and two young daughters.

Mindy Haas
Manager of Operations & Client Relations

After 15 years in customer-focused roles, Mindy is still energized by devising creative solutions to complex client issues. She’s skilled in leveraging data analysis to track performance and to provide strategic direction. Because of work in various roles, from operations, sales, customer service, and project management, she has a well-rounded view of many aspects of business processes.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, spending time with family, road-tripping with her husband, reading self-help books and eating ethnic foods. When she isn’t traveling, she’s dreaming of the next big vacation.

Mindy Haas

Rebecca Westling
Senior Creative Specialist

After 15 years in graphic design and 7 years in web design, Rebecca takes our vision and brings it into reality with beautifully designed web pages and videos. Perhaps that’s how she’s earned her nickname of the Office Unicorn because she makes the technical work seem magical. Or, it could be because of her black and purple ombré hair. Nonetheless, she is an essential part of our team’s success. Her technical writing skills also help us delve deeper into process enhancements that lead to better client satisfaction.

Outside of the office, you’ll find Rebecca spending time with her family and two young boys.  She also likes reading, knitting, crocheting, or anything else crafty.

Jim Pruitt founded the forerunner of Bankers Select in the Fall of 1984. Specializing in banking and financial services, Jim focuses in the corporate finance, accounting, credit, operations and all risk disciplines. He recruits at mid- to executive levels including C-level executives. Jim’s clients include Fortune 500 financial service leaders, as well as smaller regional banks, community banks, and credit unions. Viewing recruiting as an art form, his favorite quote is, “To know is delusional; not to know is insensitive.” This applies very much to the inquisitive nature required of all great recruiters in observing and evaluating talent.

He can often be found spending his free time with his wife, children, and adorable grandchildren.
